Mr. Cross is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization.

Effective representation of clients in estate and trust litigation in California requires a combination of skills: (1) experience with general litigation and trial work, including knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure and the Evidence Code; (2) understanding of the California Probate Code, along with the typical claims and defenses in estate and trust cases; (3) understanding of the underlying estate planning instruments, including settlor’s goals, trust structures, and tax-motivated decisions.

Mr. Cross has the requisite experience to represent clients – including trustee, beneficiaries, and other interested parties – in estate and trust litigation. He has tried jury trials to verdict, and has also become a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization. He is well-equipped to handle every aspect of estate and trust controversies, working in collaboration with the client’s existing estate or tax attorneys and advisors. Mr. Cross also routinely advises trustees, executors, and other fiduciaries on trust administration and their fiduciary duties, with a view to minimize personal exposure and reduce the potential for conflict among beneficiaries.
